Yunji Jang

Yunji Jang, based in South Korea, is a colorful, exquisite, and persuasive violist. She graduated from the Seoul National University in 2024 with first place in the string department, where she studied with Ensik Choi, performing at the 2024 Chosunilbo Debut Concert, known as a representative broadcasting company of Korea. Furthermore, she won third prize at the 28th Johannes Brahms International Competition and first prize at the Music Association of Korea, Segye Times, and Strad competitions. Selected by the Kumho Cultural Foundation, Ms. Jang performed a solo recital for the Kumho Young Artist Concert in 2022. She also performed with Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra and Chungbuk Philharmonic Orchestra. She has had many experiences, including performing chamber music at Spirit of SNU Strings X (Seoul Arts Center), was invited to Samsung as a member of the String Sextet, and won first prize at the 2019 String Quartet Competition of Seoul Arts High School. To broaden her music style, Ms. Jang participated in master classes with Hsin-Yun Huang, Paul Neubeuar, Diyang Mei, and Yura Lee.
