Eunbin Lee

South Korea

Eunbin Lee won first prize at the 24th (2017) Johannes Brahms International Competition at age 14. She had started with the violin at age five, but fell in love with the depth of the viola and picked up the instrument at age 11. Demonstrating tremendous musical potential despite her young age, she soon afterwards performed with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra in 2014 and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018, and performed a solo recital at the “Kumho Prodigy Concert” in 2016 after being selected as the youngest competitor in the viola category in South Korea. She was also named a “Rising star” in 2017 and 2018 at the Pyeongchang Music Festival, as well as a “VC Rising Star” by The Violin Channel in 2017. At age 15, she was accepted as an early admit to the Korea National University of Arts and is currently in her third year, studying with Hanna Lee and Soon Hwa Oh.
