Barry Tan

Lauded for his “mesmerizing performance” in the Boston Globe at the 2021 Tanglewood Music Festival, Canadian pianist Barry Tan is based in Los Angeles and is enjoying a career as an active soloist, collaborative artist, and educator. Recent performances include chamber music in Montana, the Tanglewood Music Center in Massachusetts, and various recitals in the Southern California and Vancouver, B.C. area.  He has performed as soloist with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra and the University of Southern California (USC) Symphony Orchestra.  Currently, Mr. Tan is working as a collaborative pianist for the Collinsworth School of Music at California Baptist University.  In addition to his collaborative duties, Mr. Tan also serves as a studio teaching assistant for the Keyboard Studies Department at the USC Thornton School of Music where his duties include teaching group piano to non-majors, and private instruction to piano majors at the undergraduate and graduate level.
